Year 11 Music: NCEA Level 1 & New Phase 5 Resource Bundle

Support your current NCEA programme and prepare for curriculum change with two distinct Year 11 Music resource collections.

Created by experienced music educator Meghan McNally, this bundle brings together NCEA Level 1 teaching materials and the new Hack the Track Year 11 Phase 5 programme, organised across four terms.

With student books, teacher guides, reference materials and class trackers, it provides a practical foundation for planning, teaching and monitoring student progress.

Part One: NCEA Level 1 Music Resources

Support students as they develop their practical music skills, musical understanding and confidence in managing assessment requirements.

Included in the NCEA Level 1 collection:

• Student Music Workbook: Structured activities and planning materials to support classroom learning and assessment preparation.

• Music Toolkit & Word Bank: An accessible reference for music theory, vocabulary, score reading and discussing musical ideas.

• Teacher Guide: Guidance to support programme delivery, planning and student progress.

• Excel Class Tracker: A central place to organise student milestones and monitor progress.

• Colour and Print Editions: Student workbooks, toolkits and teacher guides supplied in separate digital colour and print versions.

Part Two: New Year 11 Phase 5 Music — Hack the Track

Prepare for the new curriculum with a Year 11 programme structured across Terms 1–4, with corresponding resources for students and teachers.

Each term includes:

• Student Book: Structured learning activities and a dedicated place for students to record and develop their work.

• Teacher Booklet: Accompanying guidance to support teaching and planning.

• Excel Class Tracker: A term-specific tool for recording and monitoring student progress.

• Colour and Print Editions: Both versions of the student and teacher books are included.

The Phase 5 materials have been developed using the curriculum information released to date. They will be reviewed and updated as further curriculum and assessment details become available.
