The Women’s Collective Performance Choir is a fun and welcoming six-week experience for women who want to grow as singers while working towards meaningful yet relaxed performances together. Each rehearsal and workshop includes professional vocal coaching and musical direction, with a focus on healthy vocal technique, harmony skills, confidence and creating a strong ensemble sound. We’ll sing uplifting music in a supportive environment, with plenty of encouragement and laughter along the way. No auditions or previous choir experience are required—just a willingness to learn, connect and be part of something special. The Female Frequency

Following a successful season in Timaru this time last year, Female Frequency is coming to Geraldine for a special six-week experience celebrating the voices, stories and music of remarkable women.

More than a singing group, Female Frequency is a journey through the music of the women who helped shape soul, folk, rock, pop, jazz and blues. Each week, we’ll explore a different musical style, learn about the artists behind the songs and sing music that speaks to courage, resilience, self-expression and solidarity.

Along the way, you’ll receive professional vocal coaching, develop your confidence and vocal skills and discover more about your own unique voice. The workshops are relaxed, encouraging and filled with music, connection and laughter—without auditions, solo-singing pressure or any need for previous experience.

Whether you already love to sing, are returning to music after time away or are only beginning to find your voice, Female Frequency offers the chance to learn, connect and become part of something meaningful.
